SEATTLE FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAITS

What is Fine Art School Photography?
Fine Art School Photography is a unique approach to portraiture that captures the genuine expressions of children.  I am proud to provide a fun boutique experience for your students where they can be relaxed and really be themselves.  There are no forced smiles like the classic school photos with clenched teeth and neon backgrounds.   My time with each child is light hearted--I aim for them to be comfortable so I can capture their essence in the images.

Parents will be thrilled with the sweet images of their children and my simple online order process!

How does your service compare to the big name photography companies?
Similar to big companies, I provide all the needed equipment and personnel for a high quality and seamless photoshoot. However, my product is unique and more personalized as I offer this as a part of my small business.  The price structure is comparable to other companies that offer school photos.

Why should I choose Anela to do our school photography?
I offer a product that continually brings positive feedback from families.  I have a smooth operation that will make picture day and the ordering process easy for your school staff as well as your students and families.  I offer the images with your school for use in yearbooks, name badges, marketing, etc.

Being in schools and with children is second nature to me!  Before building my photography business, I was a National Board Certified teacher at an art based public school here in Seattle.  Now as my husband and I raise our two children, I am active in the cooperative preschool system.  This blends seamlessly with my passion for photography when doing Fine Art Portrait school sessions.

THE EXPERIENCE

Leading up to Photo Day
I’ll visit your school to choose a location with great natural light (either indoor with a large window or outside in the shade).  I'll send you an email and a detailed PDF to share with your families to prepare for photo day.  I’ll include information about my style, wardrobe, and the ordering process. If needed I can bring my studio light. I’ll need your class lists at least 2 weeks before photo day to prepare for student galleries.

Photo Day!
Depending on the number of students, I may bring an assistant or ask for help from a member of your staff or a volunteer. For younger children, it is helpful to have a teacher nearby. I take 1-2 minutes with each child. Parents are welcome to bring siblings before school for sibling pictures even if they do not attend the school.  I’ll take class pictures if the kids are old enough to sit in a group.  I’ll also take photos of your staff if you’d like.

Ordering
Within two weeks of photo day, I’ll send your school representative an email to forward to families.  It will include a link to the private gallery as well as a short video explaining the ordering process.  Galleries are organized by class, age, or what fits your community best. Families will get to choose from 3-5 color and black and white images of their child. They can order prints, canvas wraps, or digital downloads.  When the gallery closes two weeks later, photos will be ordered and delivered within a month.

Your school will receive a complete digital download of the images to be used for ID badges, preschool placemats, yearbooks, etc. This will include staff photos.

Pricing
Here’s a sample price sheet.  The pricing and selection of items may vary based on your school’s size/needs. There is no cost to book me to do school portraits; in fact, I give back to your school (choose 10% of my profits or a gallery of 25+ images for marketing). I am also happy to offer discount codes to families who receive scholarships from your school.  I want these photos to be accessible to all your families.
