Love Words

Set a timer, grab a drink or a cookie, take 10 minutes (or more, whatever you’d like, I know it’s busy) to reflect on your family, your love, your hopes. You, your partner, your kids can fill this out together, take turns, or just one of you add your thoughts. There are no right or wrong answers, you can answer any of the questions you want or just go to the bottom box and write your own thoughts. You can’t write too much or too little.

Your messages and love notes will be paired with images from our time together. Your album will be a love letter of this moment. You can write it to your kids, about your kids, or to your future self, however you want. Think about what will you want to know about this time in 10, 20, 30 years? Imagine your grown children reading this. What stories do you want to leave behind?

After your favorite images are selected and I see this has been filled out, I’ll make your album and it’ll arrive to your door in about a month. Or, you can skip the words and I’ll make an image based album.

1. What do you love about life these days?

ex: During the pandemic I started learning to play the ukulele and now we sing every night. Sometimes its just Dad and me singing kids songs while you all dance around but it still just fills my heart.

2. What does your family like to do lately?

ex: Every night during dinner we ask "what was your favorite part of the day?" but now you just take turns yelling that louder than each other and we barely even answer. Typically Moana says her favorite part of the day hasn't happened yet as she loves reading at night.

3. Take a moment and reflect on what you love about each individual.

ex: Makai- I love your tender hands, when you rub my face, I love when you skip across the kitchen and how you could throw rocks in the lake for hours...

4. What do you hope for?

ex: I hope you feel incredibly loved every day. I hope you know that when I hug you I always smell your hair because I just can't get enough of you. I hope you know that I will always love every part of you not matter what.

5. Have any funny stores from the past few months?

ex: Remember that time when we were laying in bed together one morning? You both were snuggling with me and dad was sleeping. Then out of nowhere he said "YEP!" and then went back to sleep. We giggled so loud it woke him up. We still giggle about this often!"
